Trekking Destinations >Tibet > Lhasa Tour (Fly in Fly out)
Tibet remains one of the most interesting, remote parts of he world, situated at an average elevation of (16500ft.) above sea level. Its limited facilities for tourists are only now approaching a resonable standard.
A trip to Tibet is not for the faint hearted, the travelling can be hard, adventurous and often upredictable. Due to Tibet's high altitude travellers with a history of heart, lung or anemia problems should consult a doctor before considering a visit.
Travelling overland between Kathmandu and Tibet is an incrediable jounrey in which you can see the World's highest plateau. This is a wonderful and amazing trip. Visitors should also understand before taking this trip the Tibet was only opened to tourism since the mid-eighties. However, is you are not up for a bit of adventure, of for acommodation and amenities that may be far from perfect, perhaps this trip is not for you. The infrastucture of the tourist industry is still very basic in this remote country. Although we try our best to see that our runs smoothly, we have to let you know that we have to rely heavily on our Tibetan Counterpart Agent for delivering the services, who again has to depend and comply with the strict travel rules and regulations of the Chinese Government.
